CHAPTER FOUR

Evaluation

Title: Entrapped

Medium: Fiber glass and metal

Size: 10feet

Description: The sculpture is a 2.2M realistic sculpture in fiber glass of an agonizing man that is entrapped in chains in a metal cage of 3M in diameter which is mounted on a 1m concrete base finished in antique bronze finish. The whole sculpture consist of two parts, the male figure and the metal construction, all this aids the successful rendition of the work. The face of the figure shows deep struggle to get out of a difficult situation to portray what the work talks about. Interpretation: the figure is a male figure generally representing the male and female gender and the subject of this study which is entrapped. All the parts of the work come together to explain the subject. It can be observed that the figure is suspended and chained to rings which symbolically 40 represent life situations that entrap man. The actions of the figure shows that the figure is in a situation that he desperately wants to get out of, this is further shown by the facial expression of the figure which show agony. The chains show that he is stuck in this situation and can only be redeemed by enlightenment.

CHAPTER FIVE

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
This chapter deals with the summary of the study; the conclusion and recommendation

Summary
The study aimed at investigating why man is entrapped four research questions were raised to guide the study are relevant and related literature was reviewed. The method used for the study was a mixed media made up fiber glass cast and metal construction.

Conclusion
In conclusion, one would like to reiterate that entrapment is a pluralistic issues that have plumed man into desiring things that most of the time entraps him, Not that desires are bad but according to John Maxwell he is of the opinion that the various desires of man has made him entrapped rather than living.

The importance of this work is to create awareness and open the mind of man into understanding that life itself is a struggle and that we should not get so deep into the world and get trapped into what is the unending circle of life. We are in an ever ending circle of compromise that is the futility of the struggling man. The never ending circle can be seen in the various sphere of man’s life such as religion, finance, family, work etc which is always trying to drag us down. This suggest that man should live life a carefree life an actually sit to enjoy every minute of life. The struggle should not make man give up of lose hope but it should help it him appreciate people, things and experiences better, and man should not give in to desire that is likely to ensnare him because even if there is challenge which is inevitable there is also time which have a way of flying away and that’s why man should learn to live and not allow his desires to entrap him.

Recommendations

The following recommendations are hereby put forward with the hope that if carefully and faithfully implemented, will help to bring about the needed improvement in the life of man there is need for man to be educated to liberate man from the cloches of Ignorance.

  • Is need for man to choose career that he, is passionate about so as to find fulfillment.
  • Societal culture that tends to discourage man from civilization should be discouraged.
  • There is need for man to acknowledge that money is not the main source of happiness
  • There is need for man to live right so as not to attract negative repercussions for their actions.
