REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Introduction
Okafor (2004: 264) stated that, “morality is the attitude of man with regard to the moral law which is based on his free decision. Morality sometimes is taken to mean definite character, based on the predomination of one particular value of the moral attitude of a whole people or a social group…” Agha (2003: 35) maintained that, “an act is right if it conforms to the society by which it is jud 35 Morality in a way is the sense of what is right or wrong, good or bad in human conduct. Morals relate to principles of considerations of right and wrong actions or good character. Agha (2003:35) further expressed that, “action is right if it leads to physical, intellectual and spiritual development or to a more harmonious personal and social life. Action is wrong or bad, if it is detrimental to the individual or society. It is an observance of the laws of wholesome living. To be moral is to be intelligent and to be sociable in the process of living. The right choice is the selection of the greater or greatest value. The wrong choice is the selection of some lesser good or value.” It is common that people think of morality as a problem of sex and corruption. This is not correct. These problems of sex and corruption are aspects of morality. They form only a small part of morality. Morality is wide and it affects every aspect of our lives. Some of our actions are morally good, while some are morally bad. Examples of morally bad actions include cheating, telling lies, stealing, smuggling and other actions that are destructive to the society. Morally good actions include being honest, truthful and obedient and so on. These actions are good because they help to ensure the survival of our society and improve the dignity of man. Morality leads one to leave out some evil mind or thought. Agha (2003: 48) maintained that, “a moral person does not consider it right to commit an act of plunder, theft and robbery against anybody.

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION
Introduction
It is important to ascertain that the objective of this study was to investigate moral decadence among youth in Efurun community in Owvie local government area of Delta state.
In the preceding chapter, the relevant data collected for this study were presented, critically analyzed and appropriate interpretation given. In this chapter, certain recommendations made which in the opinion of the researcher will be of benefits in addressing the challenges of moral decadence among Efurun youth.
Summary
The development of moral behavior is not just a thing that happens suddenly without systematic planning; its follows a gradual and deliberate process. It is in the light of this that this research work suggests that Christian women should take special interest in curbing moral decadence among the youths. Moral transformation requires ethical rebirth, which characterizes the Christian and social norms. The religious and cultural value of Efurun people (women) is morally sound in mind, spirit and intellect, and since she spends more time with the youths right from childhood, she stands a better chance to affect the thoughts of the youths positively.
Conclusion
The discussions above reveal that the place and position of the youths in any society is cardinal. Youths are yardsticks measuring the growth of every nation such as the development and productivity of its industry, vibrancy of its economy, the integrity of its politics, the hope of its future, or the potential of its destiny, however, the government and the homes do not have the right focus on the youths. Based on this, there are great deals of deviant behaviors from the youths in the society. So, the study argues that there should be general change of attitudes and motivations on the part of the government, at homes, religion bodies and people of thoughts in the society towards meaningful mobilization of the youths for national development in Nigeria. As it follows, in identifying and fostering the moral needs and proper care of the youth, youth should be taken as a community responsibility, which hopefully will tend to ensure a bright future prospects and progress in the society.
5.4 Recommendations
Based on the findings the following conclusions were drawn:
- Immorality has significant negative influence on the lives and development of the youths, therefore, it could be concluded that living an immoral life could lead to nonfulfillment in the lives of the youths.
- Parental negligence, unemployment and peer group influence have significant influence on the moral development of the youths. Therefore it could be concluded that when parents make themselves more available and accessible to their youth this will help reduce immoral behaviour among the youth.
- There are significant programmes of events and activities being put in place by Christian women in Delta State to curb the pervasive moral crises among the youths.
